The 2027 Counter-Strike Majors have officially been confirmed, with events scheduled to take place in South America and Asia, continuing Valve’s global expansion strategy for its flagship esports tournaments.

Buenos Aires Major 2027
FiReSPORTS has announced that it has secured the bid to host the Counter-Strike Major 2027 in Buenos Aires, marking the first-ever CS Major held in Argentina.
The Buenos Aires Major will run from May 31 to June 20, 2027, featuring 32 of the world’s best teams competing on one of Counter-Strike’s biggest stages. The event also marks a historic return of the Major to South America, five years after the IEM Rio Major 2022.
FiReSPORTS is widely recognized as a prestigious tournament organizer, backed by more than five years of experience operating the FiReLEAGUE circuit.
Shanghai Major 2027
The second Major of 2027 will be held in Shanghai, organized by Perfect World. This will be the second Counter-Strike Major hosted in Shanghai, following the 2024 edition.
The Shanghai Major is scheduled for November 22 to December 12, 2027, bringing together top teams, fans, and global esports organizations in one of Asia’s largest esports markets.

According to information reported by HLTV, the two Majors planned for 2028 are expected to be organized by ESL and BLAST, although host cities have not yet been revealed.
